Valley Crash

This past Easter Sunday, a deadly car crash occurred near Valley. Jacob Olsen (17) ran a stop sign and hit a SUV sending it into oncoming traffic. All four people in the SUV have died, while Olsen and his passenger are virtually unscathed. It has been said that no one involved in the accident was wearing their seat belt. Olsen now has to live with this accident for the rest of his life. He said that he can't rap his mind around what actually happened. Capt. Eric Seller has stated that the crash is going to be carefully analyzed before they try and make an arrest on Olsen. Sellers also said the intersection the crash took place is being looked at for safety modifications because this is the second deadly crash in two years and the fifth major crash in the last five years. This is unbelievable. That intersection needs some serious modifications to make the road as safe as possible. There is obviously something wrong if there have been so many crashes in the last couple of years, I feel bad for those who lost their lives, but I also feel for Olsen. This young man has to go on living his life with the guilt of causing the death of four people. Capt. Sellers is doing the right thing by not arresting Olsen until every piece of the crash is analyzed. He knows Olsen is a good kid and wants to do everything he can to keep this kid in good care. Once last thing I have to say is the intersection of 252nd and Pawnee Road needs immediate attention to keep this from happening again.
